Illustrator Work: Daenerys Costume

So only around a week or so, we got handed and illustration project at college. I’ve never really done much designing/drawing illustration work for fashion. I used to draw portraits allll the time but, it just got boring if I’m honest! It’s been really nice to let my creative side out again though. I’ve been working at home just practicing drawing poses and clothes etc. on Adobe Illustrator as I much prefer this to drawing my hand (besdies skin and hair, I have to do that by hand I don’t know why!).

Anyway, I found out that my twin Stepsisters are having a fancy dress party next year for their birthday, ever since I’ve found GoT I’ve been DYING to dress up as Daenerys! I though this would be a good chance to get some really detailed work on Illustrator for my project as well as actually starting to design my costume. Me and my other stepsister are going to work on our costumes next year at Southampton Solent (we’ll both be attending!)

Just thought I’d update you with some project work as I haven’t in a while! Talk soon.

Update: I also played around with a design for my Stepsister too! She’s going as Poison Ivy!

This is just what I wore yesterday to college for a photoshoot! I’ll post the pics soon. I tried to vlog it all but I got so busy and only managed to get video of makeup and hair so it’s pointless editing and uploading :(. Anyway, I love these fishnet sockies, amazing H&M jumper and surprisingly awesome Primark sandals!

The day turned out pretty great in the end and the photos are amazing! The original model I was using couldn’t make it in the end so I had a last minute switch. The models suited perfectly and really did look and give off a whole Bonnie and Clyde feel. I got loads of pictures outside on the canal out the back of my college as well as a few shots in the studio with props.

It really was a great day, fun as well as getting my work done! I’ll fill you in more soon, loves.

Old Aged Make Up

Life post! Last Tuesday and yesterday at college we’ve been learning how to do ageing makeup in our makeup section of the course. I wasn’t there last week, so this week I had to kind of jump into it, I did love it so much though! I think I did an okay job. This isn’t the model I had at college, I don’t have the photographs from that 😦 so I just did some makeup on Tom at home tonight for practice! I’ve made a photo where you can see the progress. This jersey here is one of the gorgeous items I picked up after being announced one of the winners of TK Maxx’s 50 ways to wear it competition. I actually picked up quite a few similar t-shirts out of my spendings which I will definitely be posting about soon!  I paired it up with my Next ribbed knitted pencil skirt which I adore, it’s so comfy and warm. It’s going to be perfect for the Autumn/Winter seasons!

The boots I am wearing are one of my usual cheeky little finds on eBay, I did post a few photographs of them a couple posts back! I just love them, they’re so pretty. They seem to be based loosely on the timberland boot but a lot more minimalist and girly. Perfect <3. The final touches were my second hand clutch and leaf necklace plus a gold chain anklet again from ebay!

I’m so sorry I’ve been extremely inactive the past few weeks, I’ve been working like mad before I have to go down to a couple of hours a week due to college! Which I am starting again Friday by the way, it’s going to be so weird getting back into the routine of things, although I will love being surrounded by all my fashion styling work as well as my day to day outfits. I honestly cannot wait until I’m back! The college has been a bit rubbish though, they’ve kicked the fashion students out of the FASHION ROOM?! For meetings and offices.Even though it was built for all of us just last year! Bit silly if you ask me. Anyway, talk tomorrow mwah.
